Being a mum is the best & most rewarding job in the world. I think anyway! To watch your little one grow & learn new things everyday never fails to amaze - yes there are the trials & tribulations, but these melt away with a smile from your cheeky monkey.

In my experience I have, on the whole been accepted as a gay Mum

into the very heterosexual world of child rearing. I have made some

lifelong friends along the way who have made the journey even better, but

although we are never short of a play date, we don't know any friends or

families who mirror our own family set up. Although this is not a

problem, I sometimes wonder what it would be like growing up as

the 'odd one out', & think that it would be great to have a network of

families like ours, locally. A group where our children can see that

there are other families like their own.

So if there's anyone else out there who feels like this, or if you just want

an excuse to grab your little munchkins & have a fun day at the beach,

park, fun-fair ... or anywhere else we can act like big kids ourselves,

let us know!
